Two of MBPD's finest had the humble priveledge of attending funeral services for slain NYPD Officer Wenjian Liu. Despite the tragedy our officers found the welcome from NYPD to be incredible and warm. NYPD vans shuttled hundreds of officers from all over the country from the airport to hotels and breakfasts were served at NYPD precincts for visiting officers. It's in such times that we come to realize we are one large family.

Sgt John Wisser (RBPD Ret) continues his memorial ride journey with the support of many, including the MBPOA. They ride for the fallen officers of the South Bay and beyond.

In honor of fallen officer Martin Ganz the MBPOA reviews numerous students from the general Manhattan Beach community for a scholarship of $3000. The candidates are always outstanding and making a choice is very difficult for the committee as there are so many deserving young people out there.
