Board Members
Dan Brandt - President
Dan is our Court Liaison Officer and will file our cases at the DA’s Office. He is also now part of the CSI team. He came to us as a lateral from Los Alamitos PD where he had been a school resource officer, detective, and former association president.
Derek San Agustin - Vice President
Derek is currently a Detective assigned to Property Crimes Investigations. Derek has previously served as a Field Training Officer and member of the SWAT Team.
David Gibbons - Treasurer
David Gibbons is currently a K-9 Officer assigned to the Patrol Bureau with a patrol and narcotics trained police canine. He is also on the SWAT team, Honor Guard, and a CSI Officer.
Ian Mikelson - Secretary
Ian Mikelson is currently a Detective assigned to Crimes Against Persons Investigations. Ian is also a member of the MBPD SWAT Team, the Honor Guard Unit, and is a Driver’s Training Instructor. Ian previously worked as a Field Training Officer and a Patrol Officer.
Brian Harris - Member at Large
Brian is currently a Detective assigned to a Regional Task Force. Prior to this, he worked as a Fraud Detective and a Patrol Officer. Brian was a lateral officer from the Torrance Police Department.
Mike Hamilton - Member at Large
Mike is a Patrol Officer and a current member of the SWAT Team.
Seth Hartnell - Member at Large
Seth is currently one of the Officers on MBPD’s Homeless Outreach and Mental Health Team. Seth previously worked for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and was an MBPD Police Intern and Explorer prior to that.
